Mr. Local History’s America’s 250th Commemorative Magazine

This Special Issue of Mr. Local History Magazine celebrates America’s SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL, the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, by bringing New Jersey’s Revolutionary past to life. From historic battlefields and museum exhibits to community events and county celebrations, the issue highlights the Garden State’s central role in the American story. Readers discover NJ 250 events across every county, explore exhibits, learn surprising stories from the Revolutionary era, and revisit the places where independence was fought for and defended.

But as always, Mr. Local History adds a modern twist. This edition encourages readers to experience history socially by visiting sites, attending events, sharing discoveries online, and connecting with others across the state who are celebrating America’s 250th. Through stories, podcasts, exhibits, and local adventures, the issue turns New Jersey into a living history tour where the past is not just remembered but shared.
