Being a Jersey native there are so many things to love about the state and one of them is unique Jersey food. Before you get out your credit card we just wanted to share that some items that ship from services like Gold Belly add a pretty hefty service charge since they’re shipping food and it has to be prepared to ship properly and it does cost to provide such service. But there are others that have factored shipping costs in and still provide a pretty good value if you’re jonesin’ for some Jersey originals. Just keep that in mind. Ok Ok Ok, we know the debate. North Jersey calls it Taylor Ham. South Jersey calls it pork roll. Whatever you call it, it’s often hard, if not impossible to find it everywhere around the country. Since living in Jersey, whatever you call it, you can find it at just about every deli. But now you can find the original Taylor Ham rolls at Costco as well. But don’t fret, you can get your original original Taylor Ham via mail. Jersey Crumb Cake
Our researchers wrote a story a few years ago about Jersey crumb cake that’s become one of our most visited stories we’ve ever written. I think it’s the discussion on the crumb to cake ratio or if you would put butter on the delicious breakfast gem.

Jersey Italian Hot Dogs
I laugh when I try to explain an Italian Hot Dog to a Jerseyan. After you try one, you’ll never forget it. And if you had the opportunity to get one from Jimmy Buff’s in West Orange or Kenilworth, New Jersey, well, you’ve had the original.
The Jimmy Buff’s Italian hot dog was invented in Newark, New Jersey back in 1932. Good news is that you can get “the original” shipped to your door via Gold Belly. Ok, so there is just something about a Jersey bagel. Certainly the water has something to do with it. So now the debate turns to if you like a puffy or flatter bagel. Our researchers like the thicker Jersey bagel and that’s what we’re going for.
