Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in historic Bernardsville, New Jersey, for an immersive evening where the American Revolution comes alive. General Washington and Dr. Franklin will introduce you to other time travelers and take you on a journey through time, visiting three secret locations, at each a 20-30-minute theatrical presentation, sips and nibbles. All for a great cause: a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Mr. Local History Project

Food and drink are thoughtfully woven into the experience—but the real focus is the storytelling, the setting, and the sense that you’ve stepped into another time. Revolutionary Pub Crawls Mr Local History

If most history organizations feel like lectures, Revolutionary Crawls & Events is the opposite. This group has built its entire identity around turning the American Revolution into a live, social experience that people actually want to attend. Instead of sitting through a traditional tour, participants move through historic towns, stepping into real locations where costumed interpreters bring figures like Washington and Franklin to life. Along the way, guests stop in taverns and local spots, blending storytelling with food, drinks, and conversation. The result is something far more engaging than a history lesson. It feels like you are inside the story itself.

What really sets them apart is their focus on experience over instruction. They are not just presenting facts. They are creating moments. By mixing immersive theater, humor, and a relaxed social atmosphere, they make history approachable and memorable without losing its substance. Since launching in 2016, they have grown these events across river towns like Lambertville and New Hope, proving there is a real appetite for history when it is delivered in a way that feels alive and interactive. Their approach also supports local businesses and builds community, giving their events a broader impact beyond entertainment.

At its core, the organization is driven by a simple but powerful belief that history should be felt, not memorized. That idea shows up in every part of what they do. You are not just hearing about the Revolutionary War. You are walking the same streets, meeting the characters, and experiencing the setting in a way that sticks with you long after the event ends. It is a modern take on public history that trades passive learning for active participation, and that is exactly why it works so well.
