Wear Lost Local History – Print on Demand Clothing and Gifts

Mr Local History loves history with a social twist. It’s our motto! So we thought how fun it would be to share some of the most loved businesses in northern Somerset County that have disappeared. We started researching and putting our artists to work to recreate an offering of vintage retro clothing and accessories that honor the history of these great businesses that we all remember.

Designs we’ve created from our history research just for Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, and Bedminster

The non-profit Mr. Local History Project has partnered with online retailer Redbubble, an internet-based company that prepares our artwork into several styles and products using what’s called “Print on Demand” technology. You pick the item, the color, the size and they’ll print and ship right to your door. And the prices are very reasonable and if your timing is right, it might be ON SALE. The images are taken from real advertising from the business’s past, including the address and phone numbers. Pretty cool!

We’ll continue to grow the collection based on your thoughts and feedback. So if you miss a place, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Each of the items is from actual advertisements we’ve researched back when they were in business. The addresses and telephone numbers are original from their time.
