Elder Voices Roundtable is BACK

Wouldn’t it be great you could gather a bunch of locals from the area to tell stories of how it used to be in the area? Maybe you grew up here? Whether you’re a teller or a listener, we’d love to have you join us for a fun hour of stories about growing up in the Somerset Hills.

The series is a modified version of the popular “Elder Voices” series that was started by Brooks Betz when he was the Programming Chair at the local historical society. “The new series will be different as it will mobilize and come to the storytellers,” stated Betz, the founder of the Mr. Local History Project and the former Bernards Township historian.

The format is simply a circle with guests who are primed with a few questions about the area then the discussion takes off.

If you’re from Bernardsville, Bernards Township, Bedminster, Far Hills, Peapack, or Gladstone you’re invited to join the discussion. Warren, Bridgewater, Long Hill, Martinsville please also join us. Guests from any area are welcome to join and learn.

“It’s always an hour of stories that you probably never heard,” stated Betz.
